Recently, MSNBC profiled College Hunks Hauling Junk about teaching our college-age employees a few life lessons outside the classroom.

Beyond the employees managing their own day, they are also encouraged to offer up ideas and suggestions to improve the company as a whole. By operating in this manner, it makes for an open work environment that allows us to continue having “the leaders of tomorrow haul your junk today!”

The Dangers of Storage Units

In both homes and businesses, storage space is something that there never seems to be enough of. Since there just never seems to be enough space, many people choose to store excess items in a storage unit. Most of the time, the storage unit is intended to be a short term fix for the storage problem. While storage units are a good option for short term storage, most people end up leaving the items in storage much longer than they originally intended. This is due to the fact that the items in storage are clearly not needed in day-to-day life. If they were needed every day, the item would not be in a storage facility. This is a cost that most people do not need to incur because the items they are paying to store have no intended future use. Clearly there is a better way to handle excess items that is not as nearly as costly. The price for a junk removal company to remove a full truckload, which is typically the amount of items that fits in a large storage unit, is on average $550. This one time expense will save money on storage and the items will also be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.
